About Movement Bead

 

Movement Bead' main role is to prevent housing cracks duing to climate change. Movement Bead is used in all type of building construction wherever expansion joints are present, for all types and kinds of bricks and Reinforced concrete used in the construction activity. Movement Beada are available in different  sizes also with varying thickness. Movement Bead is used to overcome movement tolerances in plaster and render finishes thus minimising cracking in finished coat. It can also be used to act as a stop barrier for when a change in finish is required or type of render finish.

                            

Applications

Designed to deal with normal initial stucco shrinkage during the hydrating and curing stage of the portland cement stucco coats and minor thermal expansion and contraction.
Provides clean, neat edges to 2 coat plaster and render work at opening or abutments onto other wall or ceiling finishes. Ensuring protection against chips, cracks and impact damage.

Availability

The product is available in standard length form but with varying depths, which is necessitated because of the wide depth of plastering requirements it is involved in. 
Movement bead consists of two lengths of stop bead linked with a white PVC extrusion.
Movement bead allows +/- 3mm differential expansion or settlement movement between adjoining surfaces.
