Brinell Impression Measuring System (BIMS)

Brinell Impression Measuring System (BIMS) is an automatic brine microscope used to measure Rockwell hardness. It is very useful to measure errors between operators. The specialised software gives repeatability and reliability in brine. The range of measurements that can be measured by this instrument is 1, 2, and 3mm and so on.Brunel Microscope is used to measure Brinell hardness directly on machine .

Detailed Description for Brinell Impression Measuring System (BIMS)

The BIMS practically eliminates operator influence. Brinell Indentations help in measurement of errors between operators. This BIMS can virtually eliminate operator influence on test results. To measure Brinell hardness on the machine, Brinell Microscope is used. This avoids straining of eyes on production testing. In addition, it gives far better-repeated accuracy. Low- High limits selection enables operator easy acceptance and rejection of components. This BIMS can virtually eliminate operator influence on results.

The BIMS can be configured to meet your needs an unlimited number of batches can be created each with its own test certificates and parameters. The operator can select test load and indenter size with party name, certificate No, address, date batch No. and description, high and low limits for readings etc. The previous batches can be reopened for address change and viewing etc. The B.I.M.S has built in statistical capabilities with graph and certificates for report printing and generation. It includes frequency distribution and variation graphs. The system includes check facilities to calibrate the system and calibration and for checking of calibration. This eliminates any error in system quantity.

The Software includes:

·         Facility for Auto / Semi Auto/ Manual modes of operation.

·         Well, managed database saves readings w.r.t certificate and batch.

·         Report generation in the form of graph and certificate as per customer requirements.

Application:

·         To measure Brinell hardness directly on machine Brunel Microscope is used. This avoids straining of operator's eye while production testing. In addition, it gives far good frequent accuracy.
