Dial Bore Gauge

Dial bore gauge also knows as simply dial gauge or dial indicator is used for measuring depths of small holes. It is not limited to measurements within the size range. It is available in bore depths of 12(300mm) and 1(25mm).The range is 1 to 0.5 to 3.Graduations are 0.0001 and the approximate measuring depth is 4.Bore depths of 12(300mm) in 1(25mm) are also available.

Detailed Description for Dial Bore Gauge

Dial Bore Gage does not limit for bore measurements beyond size range of our 82 Series. It is a comparison gage and should be set with a master ring gage, gage blocks with parallel jaws, outside micrometer or vernier caliper. Ring gage is available through RFQ, quoted by application. Good practice is to set the gage to zero, as near to the desired dimension as possible. 1 1/2-3 Range .0001 Grad

A dial gauge measures a bore directly. The gauge has three symmetrical anvils that penetrate from the gauge body that are connected to the dial or micrometer mechanism. As the knob is rotated it slides the anvils in or out with respect to the measurements. The knob usually has a slipping mechanism to take the feel out of the device and improve reliability between measurements.

1. Can be easily held to inspect bores and hole sizes without removing the workpiece

2. An adjustable range screw and two centralizing plungers provide accurate, three-point contact for tool alignment    in larger bores

3. All contacts and centralized plungers are of hardened tool steel for wear and spring-loaded for sensitivity

4. The housing and knurled handle are aluminum for light weight and good balance

5. Dial indicators have jewel bearings for sensitivity

6. Furnished in finished wood case
