Sodium monofluorophosphate is used as an ingredient in toothpaste in-order to protect enamel from bacteria attack. It has a melting point of 625°C and this is easily soluble in water.

Sodium monofluorophosphate is also abbreviated as MFP, which is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula of Na2PO3F. This appearance is similar to white powder which is odorless.
