sodium dichromate: 

The chromate salt is converted to Sodium dichromate. Sodium dichromate is extracted from ores which has more Chromium(III) oxides.It is bright orange in color with needle shape or granular crystal in appearence.Sodium dichromate is considered hazardous one,as it can cause strong irritating to skin,eyes and mucous membranes which will lead to cancer. Sodium dichromate has more demand from paint manufacturers.

uses of sodium dichromate:

-used to manufacture ceramic glasses and colored glasses.

-used as an ingrediant for chrome sulphate.

-used in tanning of leather.

-used to manufacture dyes and inks.

-used as laboratory reagent.
